The lecture was attended by some faculty members, class 2017 and class 2018 students of philosophy department, andother audience members. Professor gao limei of philosophy department presided over the lecture.
The content of this music appreciation meeting is rich, mainly composedof two parts: the basic knowledge of instrument performance andensemble performance. At the beginning, teacher li hanhui introduced the theme of the lecture from "overtones" and explained the composition elements of music, the elements of instrument performance, the classification and identification of Musical Instruments, as well as various forms of instrument performance.
Introduction of basic knowledge of music
From the perspective of music appreciation, teacher li explained the ninebasic elements of music, which are rhythm, melody, harmony, strength, speed, mode, form, texture and tone. There are three elements in instrumental performance: sound, rhythm, and playing style. Theeffect of variations such as pitch height and intensity on music isvery great. Playing methods are generally divided into blowing, playing, playing, playing, and we often say that "blowing, playing and singing" is the way of performance, which isdifferent from the way of playing. Music score is indispensable formusic performance, and its format also has strict requirements. It iscomposed of five parts: song name, tone, beat, tone and performance mark.
The reare many kinds of Musical Instruments and there are differentcriteria for their classification. In a broad sense, based on theprinciple of sound, Musical Instruments are divided into body MusicalInstruments, membranous Musical Instruments, pneumatic MusicalInstruments, stringed Musical Instruments and electric Musical Instruments. And our traditional Chinese ethnic Musical Instrumentsare divided into playing instruments, such as flute xiao; A plucked instrument, such as a pipa; Percussion instruments, such as rowdrums; To play a stringed instrument, such as the erhu. Theclassification of ethnic instruments also corresponds to the playingmethod of "blowing, pulling and playing". Theclassification of western instruments is more complicated, includingstringed instruments, wind instruments, namely woodwind and brass, keyboard and percussion.
Teacher li hanhui teaches you how to distinguish some easily confused instruments, such as flutes are played horizontally while xiao isplayed vertically; When playing the viola, the instrument is placed on the shoulder and neck while the cello is fixed on the ground. Theharp is similar in shape to the harp, but the harp has a harp which the harp does not have.
There are also three forms of musical instrument performance, which can bedivided into solo, chorus and ensemble according to the number of people and methods. Solo is a solo performance, ensemble is as imultaneous performance, and ensemble is a choreographed performance.
Instrumentalensemble performance
In the second half of the lecture, there are four teachers'performances. Using erhu, flute flute and guitar, several teachersplayed a number of well-known classic songs for the ensemble, including "tiexue danxin", "rolling pearl curtain","love of life", and the Taiwan folk song "springbreeze". In the different performance of Chinese and western ensemble, we experienced the appeal and charm of music culture.
The ancient Chinese traditional music yangguan Triassic was played withthe guqin and erhu. Guqin voice, broad and quiet, people think of theancient; The sound of the erhu is sonorous and graceful, with greattension. The combination of the guqin and the erhu is interweaved, such as the parting of the best friends, which is full of happinessin sadness and joy in melancholy. A touching fare well picture ispresented in front of the audience.
In the interactive part of the lecture, several teachers played thefamous violin song "butterfly lovers" with erhu, guqin, xiao and guitar.
